Dick H. A. Meijer

Dick H. A. Meijer is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of RareMD Inc. With over 30 years of experience in the global rare disease environment, he is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive.

After spending 10 years in the hemophilia division at Baxter International, Dick joined Genzyme in Europe in 1991, where he held responsibilities for North and Central-Eastern European countries. In 2002, he relocated to Boston, MA, USA, assuming the position of Vice President International for the Asia Pacific region.

Following a rewarding 20-year journey at Genzyme, Dick left the company after its acquisition by Sanofi and founded Bioneur, a boutique consultancy providing operational and strategic advice to emerging biotech companies on market access in countries outside of the EU and US.

In 2013, he initiated discussions with rare disease clinical experts, patient society representatives, patients, and industry leaders to address the diagnostic odyssey in rare diseases, leading to the founding of RareMD Inc in 2016.

Dick is based in the United States.
